ASU26: Skater safety a priority after suspension of circuit events

ODYTA Summary

The World Skate Games ASU26 speed skating competition experienced a difficult day on Thursday, October 15, on the circuit at the Costanera de Asunción. The organization was forced to suspend events after several falls occurred and adhesion problems were detected at certain points along the course. The asphalt conditions, especially in one of the curves, raised concerns about participant safety, leading to the activity being interrupted as a preventive measure. The situation had also affected Wednesday's schedule, when repair work on the pavement, along with weather conditions, prevented the planned events from taking place normally.
