ODYTA Summary

Spanish speed skating continues to make its mark on the international circuit. Aura Quintana took second place at the NorthShore Inline Marathon, held in Duluth, Minnesota, in the penultimate stop of the 2026 World Inline Cup. The women's victory went to Ecuador's Natalia Pesantez, who crossed the finish line in 1:03:11.5. Aura Quintana finished second in 1:03:57.5, just two tenths ahead of Colombia's María José Quiroz, third in 1:03:57.7. Spanish participation was also prominent in the men's race. Adrián Alonso finished fifth in 54:37.3, while Manuel Taibo was sixth in 55:26.5. Victory went to France's Nolan Beddiaf, who beat Carlos Tarazona in a very tight finish. The result extends the strong run of the Spanish skaters in the World Inline Cup; a week earlier in Troyes, Aura Quintana and Manuel Taibo had achieved a double victory in the women's and men's races respectively. Duluth also hosted the 30th edition of the NorthShore Inline Marathon, bringing together more than 2,400 participants and serving as the penultimate event before the circuit's grand final. The World Inline Cup will conclude on September 26 in Berlin, a new opportunity for Spanish skating to contend for top positions before heading to the World Skate Games in Asunción.
