Colombia will participate with 10 disciplines in the World Skate Games Asunción 2026, the premier global roller skating event that brings together world championships across various modalities. The competition is scheduled to take place in Paraguay from October 2 to 18. The Colombian delegation will consist of nearly 200 people, including 166 athletes—100 men and 66 women. Speed skating will have 28 athletes, artistic skating 24, and inline hockey 40 players across three teams: junior women, senior men, and junior men. Skateboarding will be represented by 12 athletes, inline downhill by 17, and roller freestyle by 13. Additionally, there will be three representatives in skate cross, three in inline slalom, and one in scooter. Alberto Herrera Ayala, president of the Colombian Skating Federation, attributed the participation to a joint effort of the federation, parents, and athletes, and expressed special gratitude to the Ministry of Sport and the Colombian Olympic Committee for their support. The delegation will be led by Herrera Ayala, accompanied by about 30 people, including coaches, sports science professionals, commissioners, delegates, and communications staff. The event's agenda begins on October 1 with the World Skate Executive Committee meeting, followed by the World Skate Congress on October 3. The opening ceremony is on October 2, and Colombian athletes in skate cross, inline downhill, and the junior men's inline hockey team will start competing on Saturday, October 3. The games will be held at four main venues in Asunción: the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the National Sports Secretariat, the Centro–Costanera District, and Cerro Lambaré. The medals are inspired by the galoperas, a traditional Paraguayan folk dance, and honor the Punta Karapã community in Asunción.
